Buying the ticket

You can buy the ticket directly from the bus terminal for 714 UYU one. We personally bought it the afternoon prior to our departure to be sure we had a seat.

Our journey

We had bought tickets for the 9am bus and we arrived at 12:47pm in Montevideo. The terminal in Montevideo is Tres Cruces. This place is not only a bus terminal bus as well a shopping center.

The bus was a regular bus, comfortable with AC, WIFI and WC but no USB. Only for us it was quite a long ride as a kid pooped on him and later a guy that seem partied too much puked. Thanks, he managed to reach the WC but between both of them it was quite smelly in the bus.

Tres Cruces

This bus terminal is located about 30min to the beginning of the old town of Montevideo. All bus to and from Montevideo arrive there as it is the only terminal. Around it there are many city buses stops to access the complete city.

It is also a shopping mall meaning that you can find exchange offices, banks, ATM, restaurants, coffee shops, fast food and many shops.

“The journey not the arrival matters.” – T.S. Eliot
