Thailand is one of the best destinations is South East Asia. It has everything a traveller could dream of. Friendly and welcoming people, easy to use transportations, stunning and breath-taking landmarks, and wild natures. On top of all that, it is a budget friendly country.

It is a land for all type of travellers, families, solos, couples, friends… as well as for travellers that like nature, jungle, beach, new experience, culture, art, and nightlife.

This itinerary will be focused on beaches experiences. So, place near the coast or on the islands. For this, we will always stay in the south of Thailand.

We will avoid Phuket, because of the over crowd. Let’s discover what you could do in 2 weeks Beach itinerary in Thailand.

2 Weeks Beach Itinerary in Thailand Overview

Thailand is already quite the big country, so for this itinerary we will be using planes. Flying in Thailand is not that expensive. Plus, we will be taking some ferry to join islands. 2 Weeks in Thailand will be intense, but it will be a blast!

  • Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok
  • Day 2: Visit of Bangkok Grand Palace and Temple
  • Day 3: Visit of the Floating market and Bangkok
  • Day 4: Fly to Krabi and go to the beach
  • Day 5: More Beaches of Krabi and Landmarks
  • Day 6: Island Hopping and the Phi Phi islands
  • Day 7: Fly to Koh Samui and transfer to Koh Pha Ngan
  • Day 8: Explore the island and its beaches
  • Day 9: Go on a scuba dive tour and relax at the secret beach
  • Day 10: Fly to Koh Samui and beach time
  • Day 11: Explore the island on scooter
  • Day 12: 4WD tour of the island and beach
  • Day 13: Angthong Marine Park
  • Day 14: Return to Bangkok
Koh Lanta

2 Weeks Beach Itinerary in Thailand day by day

Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok Airport and get to your accommodations. If the time allows it, get out and explore the flower market and the riverbanks.

Flower Market Bangkok

Day 2: Visit of Bangkok Grand Palace and Temple

Time to really start exploring the beauty of Bangkok. Start by heading to Wat Pho, The Reclining Buddha and then visit the, Grand Palace Wat Phra Kaew next to it. From there take a boat to cross the river and visit Wat Arun. Get back on the boat to see more of the beauty from the river. At the end of the day, get on a rooftop bar to enjoy the evening.

Grand Palace Wat Phra Kaew

Day 3: Visit of the Floating market and Bangkok

Hop on the public transportation or a taxi and go to the Floating Market. From there head back to Bangkok and visit some of the huge malls of the city. If time allows it, head to the Chatuchak Weekend Market (in weekend) or to Wat Saket (Phu Khao Thong), the golden mount for a panoramic view of the city.

End the day in Chinatown for some amazing street food and go for a walk on Khao San Road

Floating Market

Day 4: Fly to Krabi and go to the beach

Take an early plane to Krabi. Once there, rent a scooter and head to  Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) and then khao Khanab Nam. At night go to the night market in town before heading to Ao Nang for the night.

Krabi

Day 5: More Beaches of Krabi and Landmarks

In the morning, head north to the Noppharathara Beach for a couple of hours, from there drive south to Ao Nang Beach. Then head to PhraNang Cave Beach and Railay Beach where you will be spent the end of the day

Railay Beach

Day 6: Island Hopping and the Phi Phi islands

With over 200 islands sitting just off the Krabi coastline, it’s worth renting a boat from Krabi town or Ao Nang and explore the islands on your own or rent a boat that comes with a guide to simply relax whilst everything is taken care of.

Phi Phi Islands

Day 7: Fly to Koh Samui and transfer to Koh Pha Ngan

Half of our beach itinerary in Thailand. Take a plane to Koh Samui. Once there hop on a ferry to Koh Pha Ngan. Chill by the beach near you stay and spent the night in town tasting some street food.

Koh Pha Ngan

Day 8: Explore the island and its beaches

In the morning Hike the 3h (up and down) trail to the Khao Ra. Along the way you will have beautiful landscape toward the island. In the afternoon chill at Bottle Beach, Another hidden beach of the island. To get there, you will first hike 1h30 in the jungle from Coconut beach to Bottle beach. But you will be rewarded

In the evening watch the sunset at Amsterdam bar

Bottle Beach

Day 9: Go on a scuba dive tour and relax at the secret beach

Book a diving tour from a scuba diving school to dive in one of the marvelous spots around the island. Koh Tao, the small island up north has lots of easy diving spot and Sail Rock which is one of Thailand’s best diving site, is the place to get lucky and spot Manta Rays, Barracudas or even whale sharks.

Chill by the secret beach. One of Koh Pha Ngan best beaches and one of our favorites. Warm water, sandy white sand, a nice swing, everything you need to get a great day on.

Scuba diving Koh Pha Ngan

Day 10: Fly to Koh Samui and beach time

The distance being quite huge, fly to Koh Samui to exit the Jungle and enjoy island vibes. You will have to transit through Bangkok and will take 4h15. Once you arrive in Koh Samui, head to your hotel and then enjoy the beach.

Chaweng Beach

Day 11: Explore the island on scooter

Time to explore the Koh Samui island. Start with the Big Buddha (Wat Phra Yai) and the beautiful temple of Wat Plai Laem. In the afternoon chill by Chaweng Beach and in the evening explore the Fisherman’s Village.

Wat Plai Laem

Day 12: 4WD tour of the island and beach

Time is short, so to be able to see more while having fun go on a 4WD Jungle Safari Tour which will bring you to the Mummified monk, the Namuang Waterfall and the Secret Buddha Garden. End the day in Lamai Beach and spent the night in a Night Market.

Secret Buddha Garden

Day 13: Angthong Marine Park

Hop on the big tour boat going to Angthong Marine Park if you haven’t done it yet in Koh Pha Ngan or Koh Tao. hike to the top of Mae Koh for views of the Emerald Lagoon, snorkel at Wua Talap Island, and kayak along the breathtaking coastilne

Ang Thong National Park

Day 14: Return to Bangkok

This 2 week beach itinerary in Thailand Jungle and Beach is finish. Time to fly back to Bangkok and then home.
