Bus From Villa General Belgrano to Mendoza
We wanted to keep going south and therefor choose to visit Mendoza before going further and reaching Patagonia.
In order to do so, we checked online and found:
- By car
- By bus: from Villa General Belgrano to Cordoba and then Cordoba to Mendoza
- By bus & plane: bus from Villa General Belgrano to Cordoba and then plane from Cordoba to Mendoza
But we also asked in the bus terminal and found a better solution:
- From Cordoba to Rio Cuarto by bus and then from Rio Cuarto to Mendoza by bus as well
This way, we do not need to get north in Cordoba and can keep on going south. This will also save us lots of time on the buses.

The operator on this line is “Buses LEP”. There are daily departures at 7:30am, 10:45am, 1pm, 3pm, 7pm, 7:15pm and 8:30pm.
We decided to make this trip during the day because of the duration of each buses.
Early in the morning, around 7:15am we were in the bus terminal waiting for the bus. Around 7:30am the ticket office opened, we bought our ticket and left with the bus at 7:40am.
The bus was almost empty, we made few stops along the way but globally it was a comfortable ride. We made it to Rio Cuarto by 10h45
Bus from Rio Cuarto to Mendoza
Here also, we had checked online and found that there were lots of departures. But one was particularly good with our scheduled, the 11am one from CATA. From the Villa General Belgrano bus terminal, they just told us that there would be a bus.
When we arrived, we directly went to the CATA ticket office and bought 2 tickets for the 11am bus that was already in the terminal.
The terminal is not that big so even with a little time we managed to catch the bus. We didn’t have seat together but managed to change that once on the bus.
The bus here was a double decker bus, comfortable with AC, WC and semi-cama seat.
Along the way, we made breaks in major cities such as Villa Mercedes, Sin Luis, La Paz. At every stop, lots of people were going off but again lots of people were getting in and the bus was always full.
Our journey ends when we arrived in Mendoza terminal by 6:15pm.
