Europe is a continent bordered by the arctic ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Mediterranean Sea to the south and Asia to the east. Its border with Asia is located at the Ural mountain, Ural river, Caspian Sea, the Greater Caucasus, the Black sea, and the Turkish Straits.
It is home to 750 million people over 10 180 000 km². Its land represents 2% of Earth Surface or 6.8% of land surface.
Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome were the birthplace of the Western civilisation.
