Getting there

To get there, you can either take the bus 20 until Cerro Campanario stop, take a taxi, hitchhike, rent a car.

Located 17,5 km from the city center of Bariloche, the journey takes around 30min by car or 45min by bus.

Hiking

It’s a 30 to 45min hike to reach the summit. It’s accessible for almost everybody in shape. The trail is made of dirt and dust and is going up.

Bariloche is located at 893m altitude, so you will ascent 150m in a really short time.

You can hike both ways, to get there and back.

Chairlift

A good alternative of hiking is the chairlift, one-way cost 500 pesos per person. One chairlift can accommodate 2 people.

As the trail wasn’t really nice, we took the chairlift on the way down and it was amazing. This way offers you beautiful view toward the lake.

Up there

We got the best view we saw in Bariloche. It’s a 360° panoramic view toward all the lakes. Up there you can get a ticket for the chairlift, there is also a coffee shop/bar and WCs.
