Introduction: How to travel and be a blogger
Being a blogger meant that you are running a website and that you are writing article on it. It does not really matter in which topic you are because in the end the job is similar.
We are travel blogger, so when we travel, we keep up with our blog as much as we can. Of course, it is really different from when we are at home. While on the road, we cannot put 40 hours of work every week on the blog. But we also do not forget it. Especially if we are travelling for extended period of time.
Of course, the first rule will be to travel with your laptop, if not it’s going to be hard to b blog while abroad.

6 Tips to travel and be a blogger
Take notes
When we are on a journey, a hike, someplace new we are taking note of our days. Lots of people like to have a small notebook with them and write about the journey on it; well I prefer to take note on my mobile phone.
Depending on the type of travel we are doing, I take more or less precise notes. I can write:
- Time and schedule to do something
- Time of the day and were we are
- Experiences and what I felt about the place
- What we encounter
- And so on
Later, I will be using all those note to remember in detail what I wanted to write in my article. And in some cases, the note itself become the article.
Take Pictures
When I do not feel like writing, I take picture of things I found interesting to know. That can be a timetable or a price table. It can also be to track time. We are on a hike or in a city, and I take picture of memorable place. Later not only I have the picture for the blog, but I also get the time of when I took it.
This way if I do not have time for the note, I have the picture to help me remember.
Write article in advance
After a great day full of new experience or as soon as you get some time from travelling (sometimes you will have to make time), start writing articles.
Don’t stop only to one article but if you are inspired write as much as possible. Once they are written, it will be easier to put them online later.
We often have some 2 to 3 articles in advance. Even this one will be schedule for tomorrow cuz we got a busy day.
Stretch your content
If you are short in time because you have too many things going on, stretch what you are writing about. This way you will be more efficient and save times. Write you main article and then write secondary one such as Complete guide, Best foods, Best restaurants, Best Stays, Packing guide, Itinerary and so on.
Schedule your post
A great tool that come free in WordPress is the schedule of your post. You can decide if you want to post right now or at a later time.
To avoid having a day with 5 articles, schedule them over one week to keep new stuff going online on your site.
When we know that we have time we don’t often schedule post but when we travel it’s another story and at that time, we are scheduling.
Back up your content
When you are travelling, you never know what can happen. You could break your laptop, or it could get stolen. The same could happen to your phone or camera. If it happens not only you won’t be able to keep building great content, but you will also lost everything you did so far.
To avoid that, we always travel with a USB, and make a copy of all our content (pictures, notes, videos, articles, posts…) as much as we can.
