Mountains are one of our favorite places to go. We are hiking enthusiasm and found nothing better that being for a couple of days on a trail with only mother earth and few other hikers.
But mountains have so much to offer. In winter they are great for skiing as well as simply enjoying in a nice SPA or even in a coolest Austrian bar: Kuhstall.
Mountains are incredible for all type of travelers and you will always find something you like there.
The Alps (Europe)
The Alps are the highest (almost, Mount Elbrus stands at 5642m and is the real highest) and most extensive mountain range system that lies in Europe, with its summit Mont Blanc reaching 4808m. The Alps stretches over eight Alpine countries: France, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, and Slovenia
The Andes (South America)
The Andes are the longest continental mountain range in the world. Running along South America’s western side from Venezuela in the north, the range passes through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile. Its varied terrain encompasses glaciers, volcanoes, grassland, desert, lakes, and forest. The mountains shelter pre-Columbian archaeological sites and wildlife including chinchillas and condors.
