planning a trip to
Thailand
Here is what you need to know:
Thailand is probably one of most famous country for travelling and often one of the first choice.
It is a great place to begin your journey around the Earth. Easy to move around, yummy food, cheap, sunny, and hot weather, what else would you ask for?
We spent around 3 weeks in the country and went north, south and on the island.
For us, the north was magical, people were super friendly, beautiful landscape and lots of things to do. South and the Island was more touristic, yet enjoyable.
We often miss riding a scooter to get our street food!

What to expect?
Language: The official language is Thai. But overall, it wasn’t a problem at all to travel through the country only with English.
Food: We would recommend the street food. Thailand has some of the best street market in the world and all places we tried were safe.
Transportation: Plane can be the quickest option to get around Thailand, Buses to get between nearby city, and once somewhere, renting a scooter is the cheapest and easiest.
Money: The currency in Thailand is the Baht. Rates changes, but at the time we were there 1€ was worth 35 Baht. In big cities, and touristic area, credit card and ATM are reliable. Though for street food and street shopping, cash is necessary.
Plugs: The plugs in Thailand are type A, B, C. The standard voltage is 230V with a frequency of 50hz.
Safety: Thailand is a safe country to travel to. Going out at night is not an issue even for a lone traveler. You most common thing happening is pickpocketing.
