Introduction: 2 Weeks Itinerary in Patagonia

This is going to be an amazing 2 weeks south of Patagonia. Patagonia is huge and represent the southern half part of Argentina and Chile. It will be lots of hiking and breath-taking views. While most of them will be 1-day hike, we integrated a 5 days thru-hike in Chile. If you are not experience hiker do not worry, there is the option to sleep in lodge and eat on site.

2 Weeks Itinerary in Patagonia overview

Argentina is a huge country and therefor it will be best for this 2 Weeks Itinerary in Patagonia to fly to get south of the continent and then take buses. This is going to be an intense and a bit rushed itinerary, but you will get some of the best highlights of Patagonia.

  • Day 1: Arrive Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Transfer to El Calafate and then El Chalten
  • Day 2: Hike to Laguna Torre
  • Day 3: Hike to Laguna de Los Tres
  • Day 4: Transfer to El Calafate & Perito Moreno Glacier
  • Day 5: Bus Puerto Natales

  • Day 7: Torres del Paine (TDP)
  • Day 8: Torres del Paine (TDP)

2 Weeks Itinerary in Patagonia - Day by Day

Day 1: Arrive Buenos Aires and Transfer to El Calafate and then El Chalten

Arrive in Buenos Aires Argentina International Airport, Transfer to a national flight to El Calafate and then take a shuttle to El Chalten (Take right away the return transfer for early in the morning).

Day 2: Hike to Laguna Torre

Organise a shuttle for tomorrow to go to El Pilar (beginning of the Laguna de Los Tres hiking loop). Then head off and hike to Laguna Torre.

Once there, chill in front of the beauty of the lagoon before going on to Mirador Maestri to get an even better view toward the Torre Glacier.

Day 3: Hike to Laguna de Los Tres

Wake up early and catch your shuttle to El Pilar. Pass by the Glacier Piedras Blancas before continuing toward Laguna de Los Tres.

On the way back use the regular hiking trail to walk back to El Chalten.

Day 4: Transfer to El Calafate & Perito Moreno Glacier

Get your 7:30am transfer to El Calafate. Drop your bags and then reach the Perito Moreno Park to admire a breath-taking glacier.

Day 5: Bus Puerto Natales

Take a bus from El Calafate to Puerto Natales (Chile). Once there, get to your accommodation and based on the type of hiking you will be doing in TDP get ready for it. Buy supply and food around town and pack your bag!

Day 6: Torres del Paine (TDP) W-Trek

Get on the first bus to TDP national park. From there take the ferry to Reach Paine Grande. Hike from Paine Grande to Grey Shelter.

Day 7: Torres del Paine (TDP) W-Trek

Wake up early and hike toward the Grey shelter viewpoint before keeping on the O-Trek and the suspended bridges. Then go back to grey Shelter and hike to Paine Grande.

Day 8: Torres del Paine (TDP) W-Trek

Hike from Paine Grande to Italiano and then Britanico. Come back to Italiano and then reach Frances Domos for the night.

Day 9: Torres del Paine (TDP) W-Trek

Hike from Frances Domos to Chileno. Stop along the lake for some of the best view in Patagonia and chill dreaming by the lake.

Day 10: Torres del Paine (TDP) W-Trek

Hike to Los Torres lagoon before heading all the way down to the entrance of the park. Take the bus back to Puerto Natales. Once in Puerto Natales get your bus ticket to Ushuaia if not already done.

Day 11: Bus to Ushuaia

Take the bus to Ushuaia. Once there get to your hotel before strolling around town and discovering the town in the end of the world. Organise your walk with the penguins for the next day.

Day 12: Walk with Penguins

Get to the tour! Take the bus and admire the Flag Trees. Then get to Martilo Island (Hammer island) to discover the preserved land of the Penguins. Then go back to Ushuaia by cruising on the Beagle channel and the Lighthouse les Eclaireurs.

Day 13: Tierra del Fuego National Park

Take a local shuttle to the national park. Pick on the trail there and hike in this beautiful nature. Once back in Ushuaia, you will have some more time to explore around.

Day 14: Laguna Esmeralda (or Plane to Buenos Aires)

If you have a spare day, take a local shuttle to Laguna Esmeralda to discover a beautiful lagoon. If not get to the airport and take the plane back to Buenos Aires and then back home.
