Introduction: Last minute travel
Travelling without a plan is the best thing we did, and we are still doing it for most of our travel. You cannot expect to do it all the time as some spots need planning in order to be able to visit them.
As we have been traveling last minute for a couple of years now, we got to see the Pros and Cons of travelling this way. Here are the 7 Pros to Travel without a Plan

7 Pros to Last minute travel
Budget your travel
You can save lots of money by doing so. You do not need to get on a certain plane when the ticket is super expensive. Just wait until the price gets down (often during the week) and get your ticket.
No Stress
You miss a plane or a bus, well it happens. No need to feel stressed about it, you have no plans! So, you won’t be missing or losing something other than time. That’s how we travel back and forth to South America for less than 52€ from Europe 😊
Don’t miss a thing
It is hard to know everything there is to see or do somewhere. And sometimes, you will be in a faraway place and will not have enough time because you must proceed with your trip. If you do not have a plan, you simply stay longer and see what you want to see.
Feel the adrenaline
In a good and sometimes in a bad way. It can be really exciting not knowing where you will go, or what you will be doing. Sometimes, you end up lost, it is late, you do not know where to go. That is a real adventure, it becomes the best memory later.Â
Freedom
You are living in the moment. You will hear people talking about their trips and how they look forward to it. But if you don’t have a plan, you seize the moment. You can’t constantly look forward to something else than now.
Enjoy, where you are, and let tomorrow be tomorrow.
Time saving
You are not planning in advance, so you won’t be spending lots of time from home booking hotels, flights and everything around your next trip.
Instead, you will be doing it on the spot without taking as much consideration. Or while on a bus, looking for your next place to stay.
In the same register, if you are in a city that you don’t like much and had plan on staying 3 days, then you stay 1 and leave.
Everything is Fresh
If you have a 2-week vacation plan ahead, you will be reading a lot to plan it perfectly. When you will be on the spot, you may even have forgotten about the history of the place or other details.
But if you do not plan and read it at the last minute you will have all the information about it.
