Dinning out Ubud Bali Travel Guide
There are no right or wrong places to eat in Bali and especially in Ubud. Here are some of the places we tried.
Sari Organik
Organic local food. We opted for the tofu tempura with peanut sauce and the fried veggies with tofu. Both were amazing.
They also offer homemade red and white wine. We would recommend it as a global experience. In addition, you can taste before. It is a sweet wine. But if you prefer a good old beer, they do have homemade one.
Indus Restaurant
It offers a Salsa night every Friday and Monday with a local band from 7:30pm to 10pm. If you love dancing out and live the Salsa vibe, you will love to dance there. But be aware that it is better to dance with someone you know as many locals come with their own salsa teacher or partner.
The ambiance is cosy, the view from the terrace is beautiful. On top of everything, no need to book during the low season if you come before 7:00pm. Plus, it’s happy hour till 7pm and cocktails cost 20 000 IDR less.
The food was delicious. But a bit pricy for Bali, especially that prices don’t include 15% tax
Yuga Organic Warung
A great place for a meal with a view toward the rice field. Delicious food. Nice menu, local style food, and cheap.
We had sweet and sour chicken and the special of the day, fried rice with tofu. They also included a small appetizer and dessert in the order for free.
The staff was kind and the Coconut juice came straight wide open with a spoon to enjoy it till the end.
Fair Warung Bale
Small restaurant in Ubud downtown where all the benefit is used to help people! The food was delicious, the portion quite huge! The style is seafood but also have a few dishes with chicken and some sandwiches.
As the place is small, it is better to make a reservation or you may wait a bit.
Melting Wok Warung
Small but great restaurant. You will want to make a reservation to get table (especially in high season).
French owned restaurant with delicious local dishes. They only have 2 fixed dishes + 2 specials every day. The fixed dishes are wok with rice or noodle. Then you choose tofu/chicken/beef/fish and the sauce curry/curry with coconut the special is a surprise
Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
Also known as Mandala Suci Wenara Wana. Theforest is a sanctuary and the natural habitat of the Balinese long-tailed Monkey. About 1049 monkeys live in this sanctuary.
Yuga traditional spa
Good Balinese massage spa with view on the rice field. Welcome drink and small snack include.

The beans have been eaten and defecated by the civets. The beans are fermented as they pass through the intestines, and once defecated with other fecal matter, are collected, and then process.
In addition of the coffee production, Bali Paulina offers an amazing environment.
Batur Natural Hot Spring and Toya devasaya
After ridding all the way from Ubud, enjoy the benefit of a local hot spring felt. Offering various pools with different temperature, the hot spring is a great place to experience. The admission fee was 150 000 IDR per person or 180 000 IDR per person with a meal. Both including a small welcome drink, a towel, a locker.

Bintang will be the biggest in the region. It has two floors, one is a supermarket, the other one is full of souvenirs. Fixed prices.
