Introduction: Buenos Aires Tigre & Belgrano

To keep our strolling around the city, we headed north even though we already had visited Chinatown as it was Chinese new year, We went through again and all the way up North to Tigre. A place that a friend from Buenos Aires recommended us. It is known to be the place where local from Buenos Aires are going to espace the city.

Belgrano

Chinatown

Belgrano is well known for behind a lively district with really big store and shops around but is mostly known for behind Chinatown. Though it isn’t a huge one, it’s cool to visit on your way to Tigre. It’s made of one street and one intersection where you will feel like in China.

Tigre

To get to Tigre, the easiest way for us was to take a bus to Belgrano and from there take the over ground train to Tigre.

Monumento al Remero

We started our journey there by walking along the river toward the art museum, along the way we pop by this nice statue.

Art Museum of Tigre

The museum is a gorgeous monument with a stunning architecture. We mostly enjoyed the walk along the river and the architecture of the museum but if you fancy it, you can visit it.

Plaza Daniel María Cazón

On our way back, we used the inner charming street of Tigre until this square where we stopped for a nice break.

Puerto de Frutos

We then headed all the way back, passed the casino and the train station to reach the port. Along the way we discovered another Chinatown (but it was closed) and ended up in the Fruit port.

Artesanias Puerto De Frutos

Located within the port, one street is made of lot of little shops selling house furniture and decoration.

“If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion, and avoid the people, you might better stay home.”
