Belgium is one of 6th country that founded the EU. and its capital, Brussels, hosts the official seats of the European Commission, the Council of the European Union, and the European Council, as well as one of two seats of the European Parliament (the other being Strasbourg)
Black, gold and red are symbolic of the country’s coat of arms; black representing the shield; gold representing the lion, and red representing the lion’s claws and tongue. The vertical layout is taken from the French Tricolore
There are over 2000 Chocolatiers in Belgium, making it the main competitor of Switzerland in terms of chocolate. While there, it’s a must to try some.

 Most of the known comics are Belgian and French. Most of them are in fact from Belgium itself and are written in French. Lucky Luke, Tintin, Asterix, the Smurf are all from Belgium and are some of the most known comics.

Language: Belgium is home to 2 main languages: the Dutch-speaking Flemish, which constitutes about 60% of the population, and the French-speaking, which comprises about 40%.
Food: Belgium food is famous for its mussel and fries! And don’t forget the famous waffles.
Transportation: The main transportation within Belgium are buses and trains. They are easy to take and will bring you everywhere you need.
Money: The currency in Belgium is the Euro. Most places accept credit card, and many ATM can be found around. But if you are from outside the EU, Â think about using Azimo or TransferWise
Plugs: The plugs in Belgium are type C/E. The standard voltage is 220V with a frequency of 50hz. Which is the same as all European countries.
