Czech Republic is also called Czechia. It is a landlocked country in Central Europe home to 10.6 million people for a country as big as 78.866km².
In 1993 Czechoslovakia dissolved with its constituent states becoming the independent states of the Czech Republic and Slovakia
It is a welfare state with a European social model, universal health care, and tuition-free university education. It ranks 13th in the UN inequality-adjusted human development and 14th in the World Bank Human Capital Index ahead of countries such as the USA, the UK and France.
The colors of the flag come from the coat of arms of Bohemia. (The legends say that Duke Lech once saw white eagle on the red evening sky). The blue triangle was added in 1920 to differentiate it from the flag of Poland. It is said that the blue color is representing the State of Moravia
Czech Republic has the most Castle in Europe. There are over 2000 castles in the country, more than in any other country in Europe. Some of the most famous ones being the Hluboká Castle, OrlÃk Castle, Lednice Castle and KarlÅ¡tejn Castle.
Prague’s Old Town is home to the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world. Built in 1410 clock, it is not onlythe 3rd oldest but it is the only one still operating.
Czech people are the world’s heaviest consumers of beer. Yes, even though many countries in Europe drink lots of beer, Czech people are the TOP 1 at it. The first pale lager, Pilsner Urquell, was brewed in the Czech city Pilsen in 1842.

Transportation: The best way to move around the country is to take the bus. It is a convenient and easy way to get around. But the country also has an extended railway network.
