Before any trip, it’s really wise to check if you need a Visa or not, also you may want to look deeper than just knowing, if you need a visa or not, or a visa on arrival, e-Visa, etc…
Sometimes you get into unpleasant situation that could have been avoided.

Check by yourselves
An easy way to know if you need a visa or not could simply to use Wikipedia. You can search your passport and get to know where you can go or not.
That will of course only give you a general idea. Also, if you plan a multi countries travel, it’s better to check all the country you plan on going and the one nearby as you trip may go in another direction that what you had plan.
Visa issue in Bolivia
We had checked online on Wikipedia and we saw that we just needed Visa on arrival, so we did not prepare anything and did not bring any document with us. When we arrived, as a French passport holder I was fine and done in 5min, but Tina as a Serbian passport holder could not get in without providing lots of documents.
We then had to find a way on site to get all documents. We ended up making it but that was after she has been rejected twice from the immigration office and had lots of stress.
We could have had avoided this if we had checked more earlier. We could have had all documents or even try to do the Visa from our home country.
Indian e-Visa
This visa can be done online by yourselves. Tina had plan to go after South America, so we were doing this visa in Bariloche. Doing this visa took us up to 4h due to an unstable WIFI and a complicated form to fill up. In the end we managed it, but it wasn’t without a sweat.
