Croatia

Here is what you need to know: Croatia Travel Guide

Croatia is one outstanding country located on the Adriatic sea. Most known for its beaches which we have to admit are quite nice with clear water and rocky beaches.

But what we preferred was the historical part of Croatia with breath-taking old town with cobble streets and old buildings dating as far as the Roman empire.

And that’s not even all, Croatia also has one of the most beautiful national park in Europe, Plitvice lakes which offers uncountable waterfalls and wild nature.

That being said, WE LOVED CROATIA.

Croatia Flag

The red-white-blue colours of the flag were inspired by the flag of imperial Russia, which was an opponent of Austria-Hungary and hence a potential Croatian ally. Although Croatians were unable to establish their independence at that time, the flag remained a symbol of aspirations for the future.

Croatia is the home of world popular dog breed called Dalmatians.

The waterfront area is known as the Dalmatian coast, and the region has been known as “Dalmatia” since the Roman times. The dog’s roots run deep too. In fact, there are illustrations of the breed dating back to the 17th century.
