planning a trip to

Japan

Here is what you need to know: Japan Travel Guide

Japan is a unique place, it is most probably one of the most advanced country but at the same time, it manages to keep up with its traditions.

For us, this is one of our favourite country, if not our favourite and we look forward going back there.

What we loved was how clean the country is, the fact that you walk in a metropole but find traditional building and people in Kimono walking around.

People were also always friendly with us. Though they would not speak English, they would try to help.

But nothing is perfect, right? Japan is a dream destination but it is as well an expensive one.

About

Japan’s capital and most populated city is Tokyo.

Japan is the 11th most populous country in the world with a population of 126.2 million people.

The island of Japan was inhabited since the Upper Palaeolithic age, its first references date though from the 1st century AD in the Chinese Chronicle.

The flag’s design embodies the country’s nickname, Land of the Rising Sun. The basic design is called Nisshoki officially, which translates to “sun-mark flag.”

In medieval and early modern Japan (from the 12th century to the 1870s), Samurai were the hereditary military nobilities and caste officers.

They were the well-paid retainers of the daimyo, had high prestige and special privileges such as wearing two swords.

In feudal Japan, ninjas (or Shinobi) were covert agent or mercenary.

Their missions included espionage, deception, and surprise attacks. Their covert methods of waging irregular warfare were deemed dishonourable and beneath the honour of the samurai.
