Staying in Seoul
We spent 4 days, 3 nights in Seoul, for us it was enough. Of course, in such a city, you can always find something to do. We stayed in Residence Unicorn, it was a great accommodation, spacious, with a kitchen, well located near the river, food trucks and metro stations.
Gyeongbokgung
Gyeongbokgung palace was the main royal residence of the Joseon dynasty and was built in 1395. Today, the palace is one of the main tourist attractions of Seoul. Both local wearing traditional clothes and tourist stroll around the huge royal residence. The palace is one of the last places where you can also see royal guards wearing the traditional clothes of Korea.
Statue of King Sejong
Located at the Gwanghwamun Plaza. The statue is dedicated to the 15th century Korean monarch, Sejong the Great, the fourth king of Joseon dynasty and one of Korea’s most famous historical figures.
You don’t visit the statue for its meaning but also to experience flea markets on the plaza and kids playing with the big fountain of the square.
N Seoul Tower
Officially the YTN Seoul Tower and commonly known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation. At 236 metres, it is the 2nd highest tower in Seoul.
You can go on the top of the tower to get a beautiful panorama of Seoul, but we wouldn’t do it again, as it was really crowded it took ages. Hanging around the tower is more than enough and the view already great.
